Our History
The Order of the Golden Owl is a private, lay, international, fraternal order of a chivalric nature. It is open to both men and women of integrity who complete our Squire Academy. Our mission is to learn and embody a modern chivalric lifestyle - striving to make the world a better place and, in doing so, inspire others to follow suit.

We operate independently, without affiliation to any governmental or religious institution. We make no claims to noble titles or roles; such as monarchs, princes, dukes, clergy, or tribal leaders and require no "Font of Honor" to validate our fraternity. Prior to creating the Order of the Golden Owl, Clifford Brunetti was both granted heraldic arms by the authority of Queen Elizabeth II and was knighted by the Duke of Braganza, Dom Duarte Pio, in two of the Orders of which he is Grandmaster; St. Michael of the Wing and the Royal House of Portugal (Cavaleiro Comendador Honorario da Real Ordem de Sao Miguel #1909 and Cavaleiro Comendador Honorario da Casa Real Portuguesa #309, both on the Autumnal Equinox of 2017).
Unlike traditional orders, we provide a structured and accessible path for
modern individuals to live out the
ideals of knighthood through
education, ceremony,
and community.
Our members are united not by geography, but by shared values and a commitment
to living with purpose.
As of May 2026, our Order includes over 90 knights and dames from across the globe, supported by a growing community of well over 600 friends of the order and our numbers continue to rise.

Your Journey to Knighthood
1. Begin as a Squire
Start your journey through the Squire Academy, a guided educational experience designed to build foundational knowledge of chivalry.
3. Complete the Training
Progress through structured modules and challenges that reinforce values, discipline, and understanding.
2. Earn Your Knighthood
Upon completion, you are formally recognized in a ceremonial knighting and awarded official regalia.
4. Join the Fellowship
Become part of a global network of knights and dames committed to lifelong growth and camaraderie.
